Trainings offered through New England Expressive Arts:
Dance and Movement Therapy
This class teaches movement therapy that can be used with special populations to bring peace, relaxation, community, self awareness and self consciousness. It also brings awareness to the patterned movements and postures that shape us, bringing us to a better understanding of ourselves.
Expressive Visual Drawing and Painting
This class teaches activities revolving around self expression through drawing and painting. Many activities are taught that help patients/clients reflect upon their past and change meaning for the future.
Poetic Medicine
Using a short story from your life, this class shows how to create a meaningful poem from stories remembered. This technique is easy and once learned, can be easily used with any population of patients, clients or students.
Expressive Puppetry
Puppets have therapeutic value to all ages. Learn to use puppets to elicit stories, discussion and therapeutic conversation with people of all ages. Aside from use with children, puppets are especially valuable when using them with patients with Alzheimers and other types of dementia.
Spiritual Support Class
Spiritual support incorporates spiritual inquiry, care of the soul and healing energy. This class will help you distinguish the difference between religion and spiritual care or care of the soul.

Susan brings an artistic and compassionate perspective to the therapeutic process. Her work is rooted in the belief that the language of the soul speaks through the body, the image world, artistic expression and our life stories.
